Saturday was a day of rest and shopping in the village. Sunday was rehearsal while they shot the "making of FINDING GAUGUIN" documentary. Can't seem to get away from a camera. Like I try hard or something.........Alex and I worked after I spent an hour with our Gauguin, Don Taicher. Daddy Bob Taicher was there guiding both rehearsals. It was my first time to entertain at my, I have to say, INCREDIBLE BUNGALOW AT MAMA'S. A "working party" but a party nonetheless and ALL on film.....Too Much. First shot is one of my darling Nicole Gordon who is playing Gauguin's beautiful Polynesian wife, Tehura. This 19 year old Malaysian is L.A. based and is a born STAR.

Alexander got to go dancing, windsurfing and bareback riding on the beach all Saturday but we got down to work on Sunday, with the occaisional break...I have no clue what is going on on the mailand or in the World and that is sooo fine. The TV is a spectacular machine here but has not been turned on, Thank You Jesus.

Daddy Bob and I made it out to the beach at "Mama's" after a hard afternoon of rehearsing in front of the documentarian's camera. Felt a little "odd" to have intimate rehearsals filmed in my living room but..."good odd" if you know what I mean. Talked to Michelle Phillips and sang her "Uncle Lou Lou", a song she sang and put on the "B" side of her 1975 single, "There She Goes". It was good to call Mama Michelle from "Mama's" and sing her song about " A week on Maui , Oh Lou, what it could do for you...It's not corruption to have an eruption on Maui, Volcanos do" The song was about Lou Adler who produced all of the Mama's and Papa's recordings as well as co-producing The Monterey Pop Festival (the one that introduced Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendricks as well as help make a cross-over star of Otis Redding...

Had time to chill in the hammock as well as a teeny tiny nap in the master bedroom of my suite at "Mama's. Today my pick up is eight and set call nine. Henri Vollard is seducing "Adam" (Alex Taicher) into helping him secure Gauguin's art collection to make off with the booty and high tail it back to Paris...great scene on paper and I think we can nail it after Sunday's work..
