Kenny Plays at Billy's

My friend GiGi Talley and her husband, the immensely talented Kenny invited me to Billy's Grill in Birmingham earlier this week.  Kenny's smoky voice, key board work with his Sax, flutists, accompanist gave me a wonderful night. GiGi is a white girl from Birmingham who married a black musician and they have two wonderful sons. A Couple with courage.  Kenny is quite accomplished as a musician and singer and has opened for the likes of Natalie Cole and The Spinners as well as a host of others and has released several of his own CDs.  One of his songs was nominated for the John Lennon songwriting Award.   It was a memorable night.

It was a great crowd at Billy's and a night I won't soon forget.  Kenny is in demand all over and Birmingham is lucky to have him choose this town as home.
